PappaShop's Affiliate Program works the same way a referral service would work. You refer your friends, family, coworkers, clients, neighbors etc. and we reward you $20, for each successful, qualified customer registration. Here's how it works:
Sign up to become a PappaShop affiliate - You will need a client area account. Click here if you do not have one. Or if you are an existing client Click on the affiliate link in your existing client area.
Receive your free PappaShop website banner to add to your site so customers can click on the banner with your affiliate URL attached. (You may use a text link with the affiliate URL attached if you prefer).
Each customer that you refer, who successfully signs up for an annual hosting plan, will qualify as a $20.00 commission.
There are a few things you should know about our affiliate program. Read the following and then click the link at the bottom to get your new affiliate account!
Every customer account you refer to PappaShop needs to remain an active account for more than 30 days. This is our money back guarantee period. We require that a W-9 tax form be submitted to us via fax ( 503-393-2143 ) or snail mail before we can send any payments your way. The IRS also requires this information! Our payment threshold is set at $100.00. This means that after referrals have been active for over 30 days (and we have your tax form) we will send a check during the next pay period.
If we do not receive your completed W-9 from after one year from the time your affiliate account was activated your account will be closed and all referral commissions will be forfited.
Any individual or company earning more than $600 in affiliate commissions is required to report these earnings to the IRS. We are not able to offer specific instructions or tips on how to fill out the tax form. You will need to read through the IRS' instructions.
We send out your first payment after your account reaches $100.00 and as long as the referrals that made up that amount have been active accounts for over 30 days (and we have your tax form). Our payment periods for 2008 are shown in the chart below.
We currently offer US checks only and these checks will be mailed to the address you provide when you sign up to become a PappaShop affiliate. At this time, our affiliate program is open to to US residents only.

We're sorry but at this time our affiliate program is only open to US residents. If your referral lives outside the US, that is not a problem. However, in order to receive commission for any referral, you must live in the US.
Every referral you send to PappaShop Web Hosting must sign up for a web hosting package and pay for the yearly plan. Commissions are only paid on web hosting packages and only the yearly commitment plan packages. Each referral must remain an active account for over 30 days before you can be paid for that referral. And your account must reach $100.00 before a commission will be paid.
Self referrals are not allowed. We do check the billing address against the affiliate's name and address. Any repeats will be deleted. You may not sign up for a client since each person who signs up for hosting must agree to our Terms of Service. Each person must sign up for their own account.
Every affiliate is provided with an Affiliate Tracking URL (or link) upon signup for our affiliate program. This link will have a cookie attached to it. This cookie remembers your unique affiliate username. When a customer clicks on your link, the cookie is stored in their browser and follows them all the way to our hosting signup page. After they purchase the yearly hosting plan, your commission of $20.00 will show in your affiliate. This system is automated and immediate and will track every sale you make.
Keep in mind that any sales that are not yearly hosting packages will be removed manually by PappaShop Administrators and your account will not reflect the true amount until this has been processed.
