How to watermark a photo using Paint Shop Pro


Open the image you want to watermark. Click on the text tool.


 


Set the foreground color to black and the background color to white.


 


Click on Layers / New Raster Layer then click OK

 


 


Choose a nice thick font (preferably). Add the text to your image (click apply).

 


While the text is still selected (dancing ants around it), click on Effects / Texture Effects / Emboss.

Your text will be gray. No problem! Click Ctrl-D to deselect the text.
 


Right click on the layer on the layer pallette on the right and click properties.
Then from the Blend Mode menu, choose Overlay (or soft light).

 


 Here are the settings for the Overlay. Click OK

 


Click on the move tool on the left hand side of the screen.
Then click on the text on your image and move it to where you want it.

 


Save your image.
