Quantity shows $0 in my customer's cart

The shopping cart is supposed to keep you from overselling by turning the price to $0 when someone tries to order more than what you show in stock. The only way a customer can change that number you have in stock in their cart is to do so after adding the item to the cart and then changing it there. Otherwise, the software wont even let them add the item to the cart unless they buy the amount in stock or less than the amount in stock. Its a good thing for the cart to do so that you don't oversell. The customer is not charged for the items you don't have either.
